After just over a week of amazing, excting and informative events Winter Pride 2011 draws to a close.
We at Pride would like to thank everyone who took part, who came down and supported our events, who helped out at the events, who organised the events and of course everyone who supported Pride and the community through donations and buying raffle tickets.
We hope you all had as good a time as us. Stay tuned to hear a little bit about some of our favourite events and funnest moments!
Winter Pride Raffle!
We've recently recived our raffle tickets through the post, which means we'll be out and about selling them to people very soon! For only one pound you have the chance to win four lovely prizes.
- 1st Prize - A extra sepcial VIP Pirde day for yourself and a friend! Free entry to the park, acess to the VIP area, the chance to ride on the Pride bus in the parade and many other excting opportunities!
- 2nd Prize - Complimentary overnight stay for two at the luxorious My Hotel, including a free continental breakfast each.
- 3rd Prize - A great night out, including a meal for two (and wine) at Foxy's resturant and a £25 drinks voucher from Doctor Brighton's.
- 4th Prixe - A case of delicious Barefoot wine from our wonderful Winter Pride sponsors, Barefoot Wine!
We'll be selling tickets out and about around town, especially during Winter Pride week itself, so keep you eyes open for us. And we'll be drawing the winner on Wednesday the 16th. So come and buy some tickets! It's a great way to suppot Pride, and you might win some rather nice prizes for yourselves.

The 2008 Winter Pride festival was a fantastic sucess with over seventy events across the city from Hove to Hanover. 37 different venues were involved along with local community groups, businesses and volunteers. Thank you to everyone who gave up their time and put in such a brilliant effort to make the week so enjoyable, and to raise valualble funds for Pride.

Barefoot Wine Official Winter Pride 2008 Sponsor
Brighton's newest and fastest growing wine sponsored various events during the Winter Pride week. You may have had the pleasure of enjoying a free glass of Barefoot Wine with them whilst they were out and about.
Winter Pride Grants
Pride in Brighton and Hove awarded £5,445 in grants to LGBT charities and groups to enable them to stage events, raise valuable funds and awareness for their organisations. Grants of up to £500 were available to groups for events that 'engage the community and promote their organisations work' and included twelve grant funded events ranging from activities as diverse as conferences, lectures, comedy workshops, talent shows, discos and music.
