Pride Grants 2008

Pride in Brighton & Hove award two sets of grants each year to local charities and voluntary community groups; the firts round covers Winter Pride and the second round covers Summer Pride. The grants are awarded to hold events during the festival weeks, that the groups would be unable to afford finacially without our help. The events can range from entertainment to political debate, but are all aimed to promote the organisations activity and to help raise their profile in the local community.

Winter Grants 2008

This year Pride made funds available to thirteen different local groups, to the value of £5,695.00, they were: Spectrum, BLAGSS, Brighton Ourstory, Claire Project, Brighton Women's Centre, Brighton Bothways, GEMS, Brightwaves Metropolitan Community Church, Queer Baroque, Bright'n'Queer, Allsorts, Young People's Voice and Brighton Wotever Crew. The activities and events included a stand up comedy workshop, a LGBT young people's talent & award show, a trans disco,  a local consultaion and debate evening and an evening of light classical music and poetry.

Summer Grants 2008

Once again Pride is offering grants to local charities and voluntary community groups, to help support activities and events during the Summer festival Week, from 26th July to 3rd August.
