Pride Tender Process Concludes

Pride in Brighton & Hove has this year undertaken a competitive tender process to award seperate contracts for the Event Production and Security & Stewarding services associated with the Main Park Event and Carnival Parade. The contracts are awarded on a 'four events' basis, to commence in 2010 and run to the 2013 or 2014, pending a decision on what will happen in 2012.

An open, competitive tender process provides the best way for Pride, as a registered charity, to ensure the services it procures represent the best quality available in the market and best value for money. It also enables transparency of operation as all companies wishing to have a commercial relationship with the charity are required to demonstrate that they meet relevant criteria in delivering services.

Pride Statement, November 2009

A lot has been written about Pride in Brighton & Hove, the event, the costs and the people behind it. Unfortunately some of it is not accurate.
