www.JJmarket.co.uk I always look forward to this time of year when every Gay persons pride is lifted again. Brighton is a fantastic destination and its another excuse for a great weekend away. Lets forget though all the hard work and dedication for such a liberating cause.

Monday, 29th March '10 I love seeing all the different people from far and wide, and enjoy the different tents and the events all week...Oh and the food.
But what ruins it for me is the fairground bit - It's deafeningly loud and attracts drunken teenagers. We took my friend's dog last year and she was terrified :(
Please don't bring the fairground rides back this year - there would be much more space if you didn't. It's all about the love, not about the vomit!

Sunday, 22nd November '09 i just wanted to say that i think you're right to try and change the concept of pride. i don't feel i'm represented or welcome at the event at preston park.
the only problem is...i don't know how you'll change it...there is a hardcore old school brighton scene that is pushing for a direct replica of previous years and to us outside that sphere...it's intimidating. (hence why this message is anonymous).
there is a massive pool of talent that doesn't fit to the shape that has been carved on brighton pride every august...comedians, musicians and bands, alternative cabaret acts (burlesque etc)...not welcome.
is that the way it's always going to be?
if so...i'll go on holiday again to make sure i miss it and i'll donate to stonewall.
