Put Pride back into Pride in brighton & Hove 2012

After the fanatic success of this year's historic event with 40,000 people attending the main park event and thousands of others lining the parade route, the Pride team are planning an even more success in 2012. This year's event was one of the most successful in the twenty-year history of the charity so we need help to reach this challenging aim.

Pride would like to invite interested parties to a new monthly meeting taking place On Thursday 12th January at 7.30pm St James House Community Room, High Street, Brighton, BN2 1RW.

 The aim and objective of the meeting is to involve the community in its pride and share views and have involvement in decisions for next years event. 

Pride in Brighton & Hove 2012 on Saturday 1st September will be celebrating its official " 20 Anniversary ".

PRIDE 2012 DATE

We are delighted to announce that Pride In Brighton & Hove including the Parade, Preston Park Event & The Pride Street Party will be held on the weekend of Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd of September 2012. It will be Pride's 20th Anniversary! There are various aspects to be finalised and as yet we haven't confirmed the ticket prices or entertainment line-up. We are working on your feedback from the 2011 park event; food and drink prices and entrances/exits to the park are at the top of our list. As soon as we have confirmed further details we will post on our website www.brightonpride.org

 The date for Pride in Brighton & Hove 2012 has been chosen after consultation with statutory bodies, to work around the Olympics. (Who'd have thought it would be this hot in October, so fingers crossed for a scorcher on the 1st September 2012).

What we do

Pride in Brighton & Hove promotes equality and diversity, and advances education to eliminate discrimination against the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans (LGBT) community. It raises awareness of these issues by facilitating and promoting a series of events including Winter Pride and the annual summer festival. It also fulfils its objectives by making grants and/or donations to other charitable and voluntary organisations. Our key objective is to develop an environment that promotes LGBT equality through creating and supporting events that celebrate LGBT lives.
